1. Beginner

 Intro to Djing

Spin DJ Academy is the perfect starting point for anyone looking to learn to DJ.  Whether you want to spin at a club, be the next festival superstar, or just pick up a new hobby, At Spin DJ Academy we teach fundamentals of mixing, blending, and scratching.  We will give you the skills you need to start DJing today.

• DJ history
• Basic music theory & song structure
• Ins & outs of equipment (turntables, mixers, speakers, etc.)
• Basic scratching & timing
• Basic mixing
• Software’s Such as ( Virtual dj, Sony Acid, Sony Vegas & Others ) 
• Exposure to new technology (Serato Live, Traktor Scratch Pro, CDJs, mixing consoles, etc.)

  The 4 Week Program is the easiest way to jump starts your djing  dreams! Working with our team of all Dj   instructors, students will learn the basics of mixing, blending, and DJ Technology. 


intensive Beginner

This intensive DJ course is perfect for any beginner interested in becoming a professional DJ.
Combining our introductory and intermediate mixing courses as well as the  intermediate-level mixing and blending skills you’ll need to play live. 

• Basic beat matching
• Basic scratching techniques
• Music theory & song structure
• Equipment set up
• Intermediate mixing techniques
• Serato fundamentals
• How to put together a live set

This class meets 3x per week for 5 weeks total. Please  Enroll' and start classes immediately.

        

2. Intermediate

 Mixing

If you just finished beginner Course and have basic experience with beat matching, then intermediate is the course for you on how to mix smoothly between all genres of music and gain a better understanding of when and how to utilize transitions.      

• Intermediate mixing techniques
• Record adjustment techniques for tempo changes
• Using volume control and EQs during transitions
• Basic digital DJing
• Mixing various genres and songs that complement each other.

3. Scratching 

Set yourself apart from other DJs and showcase your creativity by incorporating various tricks and techniques into your live performance sets.  Spin Dj Academy will improve your timing and record control with intermediate Turntablism techniques, and teach you when & how to utilize scratch patterns in your live mixes.

• Intermediate scratches- stab, chirp, flare, transform, etc.
• Intricate scratch patterns and combinations
• Trick mixing with scratch patterns
• Timing and appropriate places to incorporate scratching
• Basic turntablism techniques like looping and drumming

This class meets thrice per week for 6 weeks total. Please Enroll now and be part of the djing community.
4. Advanced

Now that you’ve created your set in Spin Dj Academy, you’re ready to polish your mixing skills.
This performance based class will develop your mixing skills through real world situations, group activities, and valuable peer and instructor feedback.
We will teach you to augment your performances with advanced mixing tricks and song transitions, and how to properly utilize features and functions in Digital DJing software

• Efficiency in setting up and breaking down equipment
• Transitioning from one DJ to another seamlessly
• Working with other DJs to create a full set
• Equipment trouble shooting
• Intermediate to advanced digital DJing techniques (Serato & Traktor)
• Music programming and song selection
• Improve mixing skills (transitions, tempo changes, blends)
• Develop seamless cross-genre mixing
• Utilize advanced looping techniques and effects to create more powerful live performances
• How to program and record a demo
• Improving mixing transitions
• Creating seamless cross-genre mixes
• Creating a brand through social media & marketing basics
• Professional development through written and verbal communication.

  5.   Private Lessons

We offer Private Lessons in almost any skill you're interested in learning: introductory topics, intermediate to advanced mixing and scratching, digital DJing and much more.
Private Lessons can be arranged according to your schedule and customized to fit your learning needs and goals.
